How do I keep Appraise-It from automatically selecting text?

By default, Appraise-it automatically selects the contents of a cell when you enter the cell. If you do not want it to select the text for you, take the following steps.

Appraise-It 8.3 and Below
1. Go to Options --> Advanced.
2. Click on "Auto text select" to uncheck it.

Appraise-It 9.0 and Above
1. Go to Edit --> Preferences.
2. Click on General under Reports.
3. Uncheck the first box, "Automatically select text when entering a field", and click OK.

Appraise-it will no longer select the contents of a cell when you enter the cell.
