What are Appraise-It's hidden shortcut keys?

Some features of Appraise-It can only be accessed by holding down a key on your keyboard while clicking a button or menu option in the program.

To Open A Report Using A Different Skeleton
1. In Appraise-It, click the Open button on the toolbar, or go to File --> Open.
2. Browse to the report file you want to open and select it.
3. Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard while clicking Open.
4. Click OK on the message that says "The skeleton used to create the selected report could not be located. Please choose the skeleton that best describes your report."
5. Select the skeleton you want to use to open your report file and click OK.

The report will open using the selected skeleton. If you save the report after doing this, it will open using the new skeleton permanently.


To Load The File Open Dialogue In The Default Data Directory
1. Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard while clicking the Open button on the toolbar, or the Open option in the File menu.

The File Open dialogue will load showing the default directory (i.e. C:\TRADTA\DATA).


To Locally Change The Licensed User
1. Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard while clicking the Change Licensed User button on the toolbar, or the Change Licensed User option in the Help --> Registration menu.

The offline Change Licensed User dialogue will open. You can select any active license available on your local machine.


To Access Options For Restoring Or Repairing Custom Skeletons
1. Hold down the CTRL key while clicking on the Utilities menu.

You can now access options for restoring custom skeletons from restore points or attempting repair of existing custom skeletons.
