The Image Manager in Appraise-It Pro gives you a full-featured way to add and manage your images. If you don’t need to save and recall your comp information, then the simplicity of Image Manager is for you.

There are three main parts to the Image Manager interface.

On the left is the folder tree. Here you can navigate to any folder on your computer, to your memory card reader, or to some digital cameras when they are directly plugged into your computer.

In the center is the thumbnail viewer. This area shows you all of the supported photos in the selected folder.

And finally, on the right is the Transfer panel. This area shows what’s currently in the selected photo page and is where you can drag thumbnails to add them to your report.

Additionally, up top, you can select how you want to sort the thumbnails and whether you want the order to be ascending (A to Z) or descending (Z to A).

At the top right, you can pick which size thumbnails to display.

In the bottom right, you can choose to automatically send image files to the Windows Recycle Bin once they've been transferred into your report; you can also set Image Manager to use shared photo descriptions over a network.

To add photos to a report, navigate to a memory card or other location on your computer containing some photos. When you click on the folder, the photo thumbnails show up in the center window. Now you can drag and drop them into the Subject Photos section of the report. Notice how these photo labels can’t be changed. This is because these labels are fixed on the subject photo pages.

Now select General Photos from the pulldown at the top of the Transfer panel.

Once again you can click and drag photos from the center over to the right into a photo box. This time however, you can select a photo label from a list or type in your own description. If you want to save the description for later use, click the plus. You can also select an existing photo description and click the minus to delete it.

Since you can have multiple General Photo pages in a report, you can add new ones on the fly by clicking the green plus button to the right of the form pulldown. This is a new feature in Appraise-It Pro since you are now able to add an unlimited number of repeatable addenda to a report.

Finally, there are two green Reload buttons. The one in the upper right next to the Size pulldown allows you to update the contents of the folder you are currently viewing. This is helpful if you have added any new images to the folder while Image Manager was open and viewing it.

Similarly, the Reload button next to the photo addenda pulldown selector refreshes the page you are currently viewing just in case you were to go back to Appraise-It Pro and make any changes while Image Manager was open.

When you are done adding photos, click the Transfer to Report button.
