When running an XML-related process, such as the UAD Validator or AIReady Uploader, you may receive an error stating "The wait completed due to an abandoned mutex."
1. Save your report and close Appraise-It.
2. Open the Windows Task Manager by any of the following methods:
3. Go to the Processes tab and find any process in the list containing "SFREP", select it, and click End Process. Do this for any process with "SFREP" in the name.
4. Open Appraise-It and try again.
5. If you continue to receive an abandoned mutex error, reboot your computer and try again.
