Why isn't Image Manager saving my settings?

If Image Manager's configuration file becomes corrupt or nonresponsive, Image Manager may not correctly save changes you make in the Settings tab. If you experience this, you can delete Image Manager's existing configuration file and it will re-create a new working one.

1. Close Image Manager and Appraise-It.
2. Browse to your application data folder.

  • In Windows XP, go to C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Application Data\SFREP.
  • In Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 10 go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\SFREP.
  • Note that [username] will be your local Windows user name.

3. You will see a folder that has a long name beginning with ImageManager.exe_. Select it and delete it.
4. Reopen Appraise-It and Image Manager.

Image Manager's settings will have reset to their defaults. You can now make changes to them, and the changes will be retained.
