Why am I getting a security token error when accessing Marshall & Swift?

You may receive one of the following errors when trying to get an estimate through the Marshall & Swift service:

"Unable to obtain security token. An internal service interface error has occured."

"Message Code = 4
Message = The server encountered an unknown error while requesting Estimate ID."

There are several possible causes for this error; follow the steps below to resolve it. After each step, try again.

1. Make sure you enter an address before you click the Get Estimate button.
2. Make sure there are no extra spaces after any part of the address.
3. Make sure you abbreviate the state name (i.e. NC, not North Carolina).
4. Make sure you abbrevate the state name correctly (i.e. NC, not N.C.).
5. Make sure you are only using a 5-digit ZIP code (i.e. not ZIP+4).
