How do I use WinComps?

The Wincomps utility lets you keep a database of comparables for use in future reports.

To Open Wincomps
In Appraise-It, go to ToolsWincomp Comparables.

To Manually Enter A New Comp
1. Go to RecordNew.
2. Enter your comp information.
3. Click the broken key icon on the toolbar (when you hover your cursor over it, the label "Lock Comparable" will appear). The comp will lock and be added to your database.

To Load Comp Information From Your Report
1. Go to RecordNew.
2. Go to RecordPost From Report. Select the comp address you would like the enter, then click OK.
3. Confirm the data transferred correctly, and make any necessary additions or changes.
4. Click the broken key icon on the toolbar (when you hover your cursor over it, the label "Lock Comparable" will appear). The comp will lock and be added to your database.

To Search Your Comp Database
1. Go to SearchNew Search. Click Yes when prompted.
2. Enter your search criteria, then go to Search ⇨ New Search. Wincomps will display all matching comparables.

Please note: when searching by date, use the full four-digit year (i.e. 01/01/2001).

To Load Comp Information Into Your Report
1. Open the comp record you'd like to load into the report, then go to RecordPost to Report.
2. Select the comp number in the report you'd like the have the data post to, then click OK.
