Why am I getting an Error 76 when opening Apex?

You may see this error message when attempting to access Apex Medina from Appraise-It's Tools menu:

Import - Run-time error '76': Path not found

This error is caused by unsupported characters in your appraisal's file number. Your file number cannot contain the following characters:

\ / : * ? " < > ,

If your file number contains any of the preceding characters, remove them and try again.
